GUYS!!! I got sucked in and I still haven’t decided if I’m proud of it or not! You know how you’re scrolling Facebook and you get an ad with a snippit of a story and you’re like “UGH, it’s one of those apps again”…? No? Just me? Okay well anyway, there I was, scrolling through memes when I got an intriguing ad. I typically ignore them because I’m not downloading another app. It almost always works. Well, always until now. I got SUUUUUCCKKKKEEDDD in.
Broken follows the story of high school students Lily and Mason. Lily starts her summer finding her boyfriend of two years in bed with her supposed best friend! She storms off (rightfully so) and as she’s sobbing through her feelings, has a total meet-cute with one of the rival school’s star football players. They form a secret friendship, basing their hangouts around Lily’s summer bucket list of things her boyfriend wouldn’t let her do while they were together. The real question, though, is what will happen when school starts again? They’re rivals; they can’t continue their friendship… they certainly can’t continue their budding relationship. Can they?
When I tell you I was absolutely HOOKED from the beginning! This was the cutest little love story!! So much so that I actually bought points on Galatea to continue reading after I had run out of the free points. It wasn’t until I had run out of points again that I realized I should have checked Amazon for the full book. Spoiler alert- you can buy the book on Amazon for $7.99. I had just paid a very similar amount on Galatea for points that weren’t even enough to get through the story!! 😭 At the end of the Kindle version, there is a link to get book 2 in the series for free!
If you need a break and a cute little light read, check this one out! I read it in like 2 hours.
I have got to delete this app…..
