Summary & Review

This book is hilarious. I mean, I’m a 31-year-old woman and I was giggling at it and reading passages to my mom. 😂 Paired with the illustration, this was a very entertaining and enjoyable read.

I initially requested this because I have a 9-year-old who is OBSESSED with axolotls, and I figured she’d enjoy the book. And she did! Though I might have enjoyed it a tad more than her.

As an adult, the main character’s decisions and comments were just perfect. Axolotl-Ella isn’t looking for a man, and she knows what she wants. I adored and appreciated that about her character.

In just 40 short pages, this story takes you on an incredible ride. If you have young ones, especially ones who love axolotls, you seriously need to read this book!
