Summary & Review
At the end of book 2, we learn that not only did Hadley show up to Lana’s house to sneak around, but so did Plemmons (AKA the Boogeyman). We knew things were about to really start getting wild, so of course I immediately borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited and dove right in!
Logan realizes that the notes Plemmons had been leaving on his victims bodies were a message taunting Logan about being unable to keep Lana safe. So, he freaks out and rushes straight to her house, of course. But when he gets there, Lana had already subdued Plemmons, claiming she had gotten lucky, when in reality, she’s a badass serial killer and knows how to fight. But she can’t tell HIM that, of course.
Well then Hadley is found in a locked room. Hadley, who had been tied up and able to hear everything Lana said, as well as the truth of what actually happened. But surprisingly, she doesn’t tell Logan. She keeps Lana’s secret. And with that, I just knew we were gaining ourselves a future bestie.
Logan continues to investigate Lana’s victims, noticing a connection to Delaney Grove. But the people who live there are extremely unhelpful in regard to the case. So, he’s trying to piece things together himself, without a ton of luck.
Though this book ends with a character coming forth about some events that happened in that town many years ago. I cannot wait to see where things will go next!
