Summary & Review
This was a great listen/read. Elena Wolfe and Corvin King both did a fantastic job with their characters and they truly helped bring the story to life. Great narrators can truly make or break a listening experience!
I loved Jasmina and Callahan’s relationship. Their enemies-to-lovers aspect was perfect and the tension and chemistry between characters was fan-freakin-tastic. I also really just like the flawed characters they were. Jasmina was an awesome FMC with her stubbornness, strength, and loyalty (even though the loyalty to her family felt so undeserved from the first chapter). I enjoy the way she always wanted to fight back and refused to just give in or cower. A truly strong FMC which many stories lack and I loved it. 🖤
It was also fun to get some interactions with the characters from Book 1. And Archer? I look forward to that man’s story. 😂
The drama was a bit much at times, but it didn’t ruin the plot for me. I just love books that are a bit more realistic because I feel it makes the story hit harder. That said, the plot was still a blast, the characters were enjoyable, and I really enjoyed how it all ended. The pace was fast and kept me interested the entire time I was listening.
