Summary & Review

After the cliffhanger we got in The Wolf King, book 1, I couldn’t wait to start this one! To make it even more interesting, we have another narrator for this book – Sean Masters, who voices Blake. And let me just say, his narration of this dark, emotionally constipated alpha is just perfect. That man has a lovely voice.

And of course, we get more of Shane East and Zara Hampton-Brown, who we already know are fantastic! Paired with Lauren Palphreyman’s writing? *Chef’s Kiss* What a fun time!

In this book, we continue following Rory’s journey in this new world. She’s constantly discovering new and interesting things about herself, such as the fact that she’s a wolf. Or part-wolf. Her, Callum, and Blake are all trying to figure out just what that means and how it’ll affect them all. Because as we know from book 1, Callum and Rory are involved. They’re in a romantic relationship that continues to blossom.

But after being saved by Blake, she’s also formed a bond with him that they’re both trying to understand and deal with. They can feel each other’s emotions and while they can learn to block each other out, Rory is determined to find a way to break the bond entirely.

Throughout this book, we learn more about the Heart of the Moon everyone so desperately seeks, the bond forming between Blake and Rory, and how the relationships change and evolve between characters. It was quite the ride and I enjoyed every minute of it!

And that ending? Whew, what a cliffhanger. Book 3 cannot get here fast enough! šŸ–¤
