Summary & Review
This is book 2 of the series. For our review of book 1, All Your Bloody Lies, check out this link!
And if you’ve read book 1, you’ll know that it ended with quite the cliffhanger. I was NOT ready for that and I couldn’t purchase this one fast enough to see how things would work out for our main characters! I was so glad this book was already available for purchase because the wait would’ve been ROUGH.
Plus, gracing my ears with Savannah Thomas and James Cassidy again was divine. They are the perfect duo to narrate a book like this. Or any book, honestly. They’re both so wonderful! If you read my review of All Your Bloody Lies, you already know how I feel about them.
And M.L. Burns? You wonderful author, you. What a unique and chaotic story you’ve written. I cannot fathom how your mind works – it must be a beautiful mess and I thank you for sharing your genius with us.
In this story, Xeraphine continues to get the revenge she deserves. However, she’s in quite the horrific predicament to start with. Thankfully, she has Kairhyse, who will not let her suffer alone. He will do anything to get her back and to ensure she can dole out much-deserved revenge.
They are quite the power couple and they both face struggles in this story that I can appreciate. I do love some flawed characters and we have plenty of that in this story. 🖤
Please, please, please check the content warning. This book touches on several heavy/dark themes and you don’t want to go in blind (unless you have no triggers, then jump right in!).
