Welcome back! We’re excited to shine our spotlight on another talented narrator. These amazing individuals don’t just read us stories. They help bring them to life with their amazing voices and unique skills. 🖤
For these spotlight posts, we plan to alternate between male and female narrators, ideally. We want to spread the love and appreciate equally. 😊 We’ll discuss the first time we remember hearing them narrate a book, our favorite book they’ve narrated, any pseudonyms they use (if they’re already well known), and maybe some interesting facts about them if we’re lucky enough to find some!
Alright, who’s ready? Drum roll, please! 🥁 Our next narrator to shine a spotlight on is…… SAVANNAH THOMAS!
Why did you choose this narrator?
Well, I just listened to The Gentlemen (review here, if interested), by Jacklyn Parker, and was reminded of the amazing talent that is Savannah Thomas. I immediately knew she’d be the next one I wanted to highlight and give appreciation to. 🖤
Does this narrator have any well-known pseudonyms they also work under?
Savannah Thomas is her pseudonym, but I don’t believe her actual name has been made well-known.
What was the first book you heard this person narrate?
All Your Bloody Lies, by M.L. Burns. (Review here, if interested!) It was phenomenal – beautifully written and wonderfully narrated by both Savannah Thomas and James Cassidy. A truly dark and unique story.
What was your favorite book this person has narrated?
Um, that’s tough. I would have to go with The Filthy Duet books (even though it’s 2 books, it’s a duology so I’m counting it as one). Savannah Thomas does such a fantastic job giving life to her character and she just really helps capture the character’s strengths and flaws, as well as her deep and complex emotions.
Review of both books, if you’d like to check them out – All Your Bloody Lies & All Your Deadly Truths
Some of the books she’s narrated that I’ve had the pleasure of listening to:
Do you know any interesting facts about this narrator?
I can only really know what she’s shared via social media and interviews, but yes. I have learned some delightful and interesting facts!
- She was a teacher and after working in education for 13 years, she decided to become a voice actor.
- She loves to cook.
- She’s a mood-listener when it comes to music, with some of her favorite artists being Noah Kahan and Taylor Swift.
- Some of her favorite shows include The Office and Greys Anatomy.
I hope you had as much fun reading this as I did writing it! And if not, I guess don’t read the next spotlight post. 🤷🏻♀️
If you have a favorite book Savannah Thomas narrated, a book you’re looking forward to, a fun story of you meeting her in person, etc. – feel free to drop a comment and let us know! Let’s create some traffic and give some additional attention to our much-appreciated narrators. 🖤
