Tropesick, by Lauren Okie
Book Stats Book Rating Overall: ⭐⭐⭐/ 5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️/ 5 Summary & Review The premise of this book is cute AF. A RomCom about common RomCom tropes? Yes, please! Seriously, I was so excited to be approved on NetGalley! So we have Katie, a ghost writer for an extremely popular and well-loved author, Meredith. Katie…

What Could Go Wrong? by Jessica Fowler
Book Stats Book Rating Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️/ 5 Summary & Review This story was a cute little romcom with a strong miscommunication trope. If the two main characters just opened up and talked about what was going on, this story probably would’ve only been 50 pages. Granted, that’s not fun and us…

Once Upon a Demon’s Heart, by K.M. Moronova
Book Stats Book Rating Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️/ 5 Summary & Review I have been so excited to dive into this book because I keep seeing K.M. Moronova’s name pop up all over the dark romance community. And a book with demons and demigods? Yes, please! This story is told through 1st person…

The Frost Witch, by Emberly Ash
Book Stats Book Rating Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️ / 5 Summary & Review Let me start with the narration. This isn’t a duet narration; it’s considered a dual narration. But really, Lilly Drake narrates the whole thing except for the epilogue. She does a great job with the story and bringing the characters…

The Silversmith, by LJ Claren
Book Stats Book Rating Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/ 5 Spice: 🌶️/ 5 Summary & Review I cannot believe I waited so long to read this book. I mean, yeah, it came out less than a year ago, but I kept seeing people rave about it. So when the audiobook version became available on NetGalley, I figured it…

Married to the Mafia, by Lucy Smoke
Book Stats Book Rating Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/ 5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️/ 5 Summary & Review This was a fun listen. I hadn’t heard either of the narrators before (Lisa Zimmerman or Gomez Pugh), but both did a great job with their characters. This was a dual narration, not a duet, so be mindful that during Daisy’s chapters,…

Good For Her, by Tylor Paige
Book Stats Book Rating Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/ 5 Spice Rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/ 5 Summary & Review Okay, this one was FUN. I was pulled in immediately and enjoyed every minute of it. This is considered a horror/dark Rom-Com type of book. It’s unique, cheesy, and entertaining. There are several tropes, such as – Second Chance, Fake Dating,…

Axolotl-Ella, by Kate Messner
Book Stats Summary & Review This book is hilarious. I mean, I’m a 31-year-old woman and I was giggling at it and reading passages to my mom. 😂 Paired with the illustration, this was a very entertaining and enjoyable read. I initially requested this because I have a 9-year-old who is OBSESSED with axolotls, and…
