Nocticadia, by Keri Lake
Nocticadia is an interesting story, which are the only stories Keri Lake creates. She has such a way with words that she can masterfully create the most beautiful worlds and the most lovably flawed characters. It really is a wonderful talent and I’ll forever be a fan. 🖤 This story follows Lillia, whose sick mother…

First-Time Caller (Book 1), by B.K. Borison
Book Stats Book Rating Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️/5 Summary & Review I absolutely adored this book. This was my first book by B.K. Borison and as soon as I finished it, I went and put all her other books on hold on Libby. Clearly they’re super popular because the wait for most of them was…

Of Ink and Alchemy (Book 1), by Sloane St. James
Book Stats Book Rating Overall: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 Summary & Review Okay, well this was a delightful listen. I went in not knowing what to expect, honestly. I had never read anything by Sloane St. James before this and I went in blind (because sometimes that’s just more fun), so I hadn’t read the book’s…

Starling House, by Alix E. Harrow
For our book club, we settled on a fantasy book this time. Starling House follows Opal and Arthur’s story. Opal is a poor, orphaned woman with crooked teeth (I know because this was mentioned 10 bazillion times). She is trying to provide for her 16-year-old brother and save enough money to get him out of…
